Your book
Winter's End is one of the best if not the best.  Thank you for sharing. May God bless your writing."

Ruth, someone finally gets how rural most of upstate New York really is. Whether you live in the Adirondacks, the Great Lakes plain, the southern tier or Amish country it is snow and cold for for at least 5 months and often six.  It is hard work and farming.  It is the beauty of four seasons and the warmth of community.  You so got the pragmatism, sardonic humor and speech patterns that I grew up with, actually that I have lived my life with.  I recognize all your characters because they are family, friends, colleagues, students, families of students.  I became so wrapped in the story I cried and I laughed as I read.  If this is your first book I cannot wait for the next one.  Way to go. I really enjoyed Winter's End. The Christian messages were exactly what I needed as encouragement and to share the thoughts with some friends who are going through difficult time...  Thank you. God had me read Winter's End at just the right time in my life.

Hi Ruth, I so enjoyed your book!  I fell in love with all your characters and was so pleased with the ending.  It has everything, love, death and honest feelings... I found myself reading it a 2 am, wondering if Kayla and Marc would end up together!!!  So glad they did!  I was captivated.

Ruth.. just finished reading your book. It was one of the greatest books I have ever read and you know I read. I am anxiously awaiting the other books in July and September. I already have people lined up that want to read it.  I really, really enjoyed it.

Both charming and witty, "Winter's End" is not only a wonderful love story, but also an inspirational read about forgiveness and acceptance. Tailored for all, I would recommend taking Ruth's own advice and curling up with something warm for a few hours of pure reading delight!

Winter's End" by Ruth Logan Herne is a visceral journey, rich with powerful characters. The female lead is real and develops new layers as the story unfolds.
Though I am not usually one for love stories this one grabbed me and I strongly recommend it to those considering.

Winter's End was such an absorbing novel. Ruth Logan Herne is a visual writer; it's as if she writes for the screen, so every scene comes to life. Kayla, the female lead, is so relatable, with her sass. And her strength makes her someone you'd want to sit down and have a chat with. An enjoyable read, from start to finish!

Winter's End is a heartwarming story of people facing challenging situations and finding the beauty in them. Ruth Logan Herne has developed real characters that find love in a tough circumstance. I love Kayla's spunk and quirky attributes that bring humor into Marc's life. Ms Herne brings alive the small town community Kayla and Marc live in. You not only fall in love with them, but with all of the other people in their lives. When you read, you feel like you are right there with them.Ms. Herne has a talent for bringing her characters to life. I'm going to watch for more of this new author's work.

Ruth Logan Herne's debut Winter's End is emotion-packed romance at its best! Hospice nurse Kayla Doherty and Marc DeHollander come together to care for Marc's dying father, a man who defines the meaning of unconditional love. This touching story of two wounded people drawn to one another yet determined to walk different paths kept me turning pages to see if they overcome the obstacles between them. A wonderful story of hope and new beginnings. Don't miss Winter's End!
